Laser Cut Bird House
Tasked to make a non-rectangular box optimized for volume:
● Your design must contain at least two unique pieces.
● The sides of the form must be held together securely without the use of adhesives or other fastening
methods. You will produce a CAD assembly of your laser cut box parts, so you are encouraged to keep your design simple.
● You will be provided with an approximately 10”x12” piece of ⅛” birch plywood from which to cut your pieces; you should use scrap material in the lab for practice cuts to check for fits.
● Your form should be smaller than 6” in its largest dimension.
● Online resources for inspiration are encouraged, but you must create all CAD files yourself.

What did I learn from this project?
This project taught me how to use CAD (Fusion 360) and how to use the laser cutter. It also taught me the importance of being precise with calculations.
